Flower Drive to Lambert's Bay Part Two

Hi Friends. The flower drive to Lambert's Bay continues. If you missed part one please click here otherwise below is a brief update collage.

The harbour is tiny...

We  were in serious need of lunch and in the harbour we found...

The decor is pretty rustique but don't be fooled. As we drove past I noticed the all the tables outside was full and that said it all!

Note the gravel on the floor!

The decor was perfectly charming...

And the meal sublime... as it was way past lunch time and  unfortunately the crayfish was sold out!

That was the first time that I have been served enough tartare sauce with my meal!

They have an extensive wine menu and a good list of local Sauvignon Blanc at great prices!

I tried the Kookfontein Sauvignon Blanc and it was excellent and just the right price!

This was the first time we paid to drive on a dirt road....but it was worth it.

Saw these on the way...

By this time the sun was going down and the flowers started closing.

We were also to late to enjoy the flowers in the West Coast National Park so I will have to take another drive and include the Flower Reserves at Darling.

Here is the contact details for the restaurant...

I will be joining Watery Wednesday here.

Wishing you a wonderful week!

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Oh WOW, Veronica, when you said you were hungry, I thought I HOPE you visited Isabellas and you did! We'll definitely be calling there in a week's time. Hope to see the flowers around there and also in Darling area where we're visiting Evita se Perron on Saturday. Thanks for visiting my blog. Greetings from Kenya, Jo. PS I love the crazy name (pun intended) of the wine on the barrel.

  3. PS Do you travel on weekends only? If you were in the area of Darling over the weekend of 10/11th September, we may bump into you. We'll be noticable in our motorbike leathers!
